Through Tudum, Netflix revealed thatilming for Season 3 had already begun even before Season 2 was released.
In a video posted on Netflix's official Instagram video the main cast Nikki Rodriguez, Noah LaLonde, Ashby Gentry, The screen then displayed the message: “You may still be waiting for Season 2. ”ve already started production on Season 3.”
Season 3 is being filmed in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is expected to include scenes involving the Calgary Stampede, a local festival.
Netflix has not yet announced an official release date, but "My Life with the Walter Boys" by American YA author Ali Novak. Season 3 does appear on the production list published by the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC).
According to the production listings as of September 2025, filming for Season 3 was scheduled to begin on August 6, 2025 and run through early December of the same year. In the latter part of the original novel, Jackie prioritizes her own recovery and emphasizes themes such as career paths and choices, family ties, and steps toward independence rather than the outcome of love. Melanie Halsall — the showrunner, creator, and executive producer of My Life with the Walter Boys — has said she is also excited to explore the budding romance between Kylie（Mya Lowe）and Dylan（Kolton Stewart）in Season 3, in addition to Jackie’s love triangle.
