The Apex Legends™ Global Series Year 6 Championship is a global tournament that determines the annual champion of the “Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS),” the official competitive series for “Apex Legends” held in regions around the world.
The final showdown of Year 6 will take place from Thursday, January 28, to Sunday, January 31, 2027, at Daiwa House PREMIST DOME in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Following Year 4 and Year 5, Sapporo will host the ALGS Championship for the third consecutive year.
A total of 40 of the world's top teams from four regions — Americas, EMEA, APAC North, and APAC South — will gather for the tournament. Teams that qualify through Championship Points earned throughout the season or the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will compete for the world title.

Year 6 to Host Three Global LAN Tournaments with a Total Prize Pool of $7 Million
ALGS Year 6 features a total series prize pool of $7 million (approximately ¥1.08 billion, based on an exchange rate of around ¥154 to the U.S. dollar). That is a $2 million increase from Year 5's $5 million, making Year 6 the largest season in ALGS history.
Furthermore, in Year 6, three global LAN events will be held: the Split 1 Playoffs, the Split 2 Playoffs in Las Vegas, and the Championship in Sapporo. The season will feature not only online regional leagues but also multiple global tournaments throughout the season.
On the competitive side, the Match Point format, POI Draft, and Legend BAN—which have come to symbolize ALGS—will continue. The Legend BAN has been expanded to the Challenger Circuit as well, requiring a wider range of teams to adapt their tactics with greater flexibility in Year 6.

The tournament begins with the group stage and then moves on to the double-elimination bracket stage. The 20 remaining teams will compete for the Year 6 world championship title in the Match Point Finals on the final day.
The final day will feature the ALGS's traditional "Match Point" format. The team that finishes in first place in a match after reaching the required number of points will be crowned world champion on the spot.
