The much-loved Japanese picture book series Pan Dorobou (Bread Thief) by Keiko Shibata is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a lively real-world event! For four days only, from August 14 to 17, 2025, Pan Dorobou 5th Anniversary Festival will take over Ebisu Garden Place with exciting activities for all ages.
Pan Dorobou’s largest festival event yet, celebrating five years of adventures,from Free sticker rally and photo spotsto interactive attractions and a stage event featuring the author, Keiko Shibata, it offers plenty to enjoy.

Free Activities to Enjoy: Alongside the sticker rally and photo spots, visitors can join hands-on booths and explore special exhibition corners in the Center Plaza.
Start by picking up your rally sheet at PORTAL POINT -Ebisu-. Search for posters placed at checkpoints throughout Ebisu Garden Place, then match the correct stickers to their locations. Once your sheet is complete, return to the starting point to receive an exclusive original sticker—perfect for fans and collectors.

The Center Plaza will feature a variety of attractions, including: Interactive booths offering exclusive event novelty items featuring brand-new illustrations, A display corner showcasing popular Pan Dorobou merchandise, Capsule toy machines for a bit of surprise fun

Stage Event
One of the main highlights of the Pan Dorobou 5th Anniversary Festival is the beloved Pan Dorobou Picture Book Reading Stage Event, which has been a fan favorite at past festivals.
This year, every performance will feature a special talk show with the author, Keiko Shibata. During the reading sessions and the post-show farewell, both the big Pan Dorobou and Nise Pan Dorobou (Fake Pan Dorobou) will make special appearances to greet the audience.

There are two main attractions, plus a variety of fun photo and character experiences:

At the attraction area, visitors can receive a sun visor as an admission bonus, along with prizes such as a shoulder pouch. However,the admission bonus is first-come, first-served while supplies last,,and attraction prizes require the purchase of an “Attraction 2-Ticket Pass” (¥800 in advance, ¥1,000 on the day),so please be aware.
