Summary
After being hit directly by a sniper shot from Jura, who came to retrieve Hidari's Togedama, Boruto collapses and is unable to move. In that moment, Boruto recalls his encounter with Kashin Koji.
Boruto encountered Kashin Koji while he was fleeing the village and being pursued by ninja sent after him. Just as he was cornered with no escape route, Kashin Koji saved him using a summoning technique with a scientific ninja tool—a frog.
Although Kashin Koji was influenced by “Zen’nō,” he objectively understood that the roles of Boruto and Kawaki had reversed. This was because he had awakened one of the divine arts after facing death in his battle with Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.
That technique was called “Jippō,” which granted the ability to see all possible futures ahead. Using Jippō, Kashin Koji aimed to save the planet by destroying the Ten Tails itself.
Because they shared the same goal, he approached Boruto and decided to pass on techniques Boruto had already mastered in the future, as well as a way to rescue Sasuke, who had turned into a tree.
Meanwhile, Jura used the Togedama of Hidari that he had retrieved to reincarnate him. Moreover, upon harvesting a newly matured Togedama, yet another divine tree was born. Jura named it “Ryuu,” a divine tree modeled after Shinki, the adopted son of the Fifth Kazekage, Gaara.
Spoiler commentary and discussion
Kashin Koji’s Ability “Jippō”
After the battle with Ootsutsuki Isshiki, Kashin Koji had disappeared—but as expected, he made contact with Boruto. According to Koji, his role ended the moment Isshiki was drawn out of Jigen. However, just before death, an ability called “Jippō” awakened within him.
This is because the members of Kara who were enhanced and modified by Amado were all meant to manifest the divine arts once possessed by Otsutsuki Shibai,and thus, every single one of them received a transplant of Shibai's cells.However, whether they actually gained that power depended on luck, and it did not manifest in Boro, Delta, or Koji Kashin.
But during his battle with Isshiki, when he was pushed to the brink of death, one of the divine arts suddenly awakened within Kashin Koji.Jippō” is the ability to see all possible futures,and its greatest strength lies in the overwhelming amount of information it provides.
Kashin Koji described the future as a “battle royale of fated encounters,” explaining that it diverges at complex “branch points” where many stories are ultimately eliminated.
In other words, Jippō does not simply show what will happen—it reveals all possible futures. This ability allows Kashin Koji to teach present-day Boruto techniques already mastered by future Boruto.
Kashin Koji can also see a future in which Sasuke, who had turned into a tree, is saved—and a future in which Boruto defeats Jūra of the Hitoshinju. There is no doubt Kashin Koji will become a powerful ally to Boruto.
About the Hito-Shinju, Ryuu, and Shinki

Hitoshinju’s : Ryuu
A new entity named Ryuu was born from a Togedama harvested by the divine tree entity known as Hitoshinju no Matsuri. This being was created using the chakra of Shinki, a ninja from the Suna no Sato. Like Shinki, Ryu is presumed to use Magnet Release (Jiton), a nature transformation kekkei genkai that manipulates magnetic forces.
Jiton has been wielded by characters such as the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Kazekage (Gaara), as well as Toroi and Naruto Uzumaki during the Fourth Great Ninja War.
In fact, Ryuuin Chapter 18 of "BORUTO: TWO BLUE VOLTEX"demonstrates a sensory ability that uses iron sand to search for Boruto. Since the Hitoshijyu are based on the individuals they absorbed, Ryuu likely possesses abilities similar to Shinki's.
Shinki, the Ninja of the Suna no Sato and Gaara's Adopted Son
Shinki, the character on whom Ryuu is based, is Gaara's adopted son. He was once an orphan who struggled to control his immense power and became isolated because of it, until Gaara saved him. His background is quite similar to that of Naruto and Gaara.
Although Shinki’s biological parents remain unknown, the fact that he could manipulate iron sand from a young age strongly suggests that he may be a descendant of the Third Kazekage, the first known user of that ability.
Gaara is able to use not only sand imbued with his mother’s will and chakra, but also Jiton and gold dust—abilities linked to the Third and Fourth Kazekage respectively. This opens up the possibility that Shinki may also be able to wield materials beyond just iron sand.
That said, since kekkei genkai (bloodline limits) can sometimes be transferred through surgical procedures, we cannot rule out the possibility that Shinki’s true parents may have no connection to the Third Kazekage at all.
By the way, the leader of Ryu and the others,Jura,is a special case who is not a Hitoshinjyu.he is an embodiment of the Ten Tails itself.He can be considered the root of the crisis Boruto and his allies now face.

The collected volumes of BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX usually include four chapters, so the next volume will likely contain Chapters 17 through 20. Therelease date for the next volume is July 9, 2025is undecided.

in the Kazenokuni. Sarada, Mitsuki, and Konohamaru arrive from the Konohanosato in response to a request from the Sunanosato to retrieve Togedama and defeat the Hitosinjyu.
After joining forces with Araya and Yodo from the Sunanosato, they make contact with the Hitoshinjyu beings Ryuu and Matsuri.
A plan is proposed to search for Boruto together, but things soon get complicated—especially when Konohamaru accidentally enrages Matsuri. Meanwhile, Yodo acts impulsively, escalating the situation.
